About Us
Your dream vacation is only moments away thanks to two gentlemen, Paul Lauer and Ivan Block. Ivan began traveling to Folly Beach in the 80s and fell in love with the charm this small island has to offer. Along with his family, Ivan spends summers at his beach house on Folly, resides in the Greenville area the rest of the year, and enjoys traveling around the world on his sailboat.
Through his friendship with local hotelier and owner of Folly’s Water’s Edge Inn, Paul Lauer, the concept of the Regatta Inn was born. Ivan’s diverse background in business and love of sailing and Paul’s architectural ingenuity came together to design the newest inn on the island of Folly Beach!

We had another epic weekend at the Regatta! We discovered this amazing small boutique hotel nearly three years ago and we keep coming back for more magic. Ally greeted us as always with a beautiful smile, great music, a cocktail and fresh cookies straight from the oven. Her warm unassuming helpful spirit is so refreshing.
Beautiful property in a calm serene area. Staff is outstanding and very accommodating. Breakfast and happy hour are top notch too. Highly recommend for a romantic getaway.
